U.S. CONGRESSMAN TO KEYNOTE NMA'S 50TH CONVENTION

OAKLAND, CA: January 9, 1996 -- Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) will be speaking during the General Session and Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 17, 1996 during NMA's 50th Annual Convention and Golden Anniversary Celebration in San Francisco, California. In addition to discussing current Congressional activities, Kingston will provide an insider's look at today's Congress.

Congressman Jack Kingston of Savannah, Georgia was elected to Congress in 1992. He acts as Assistant Whip and serves on the Appropriations Committee. His other committee assignments include Agriculture's Department Operations and Nutrition, Specialty Crops and Natural Resources, Fisheries Management and Merchant Marine. He began his political career as a member of the Georgia General Assembly from 1974 to 1993. He is originally from Bryan, Texas and he attended the University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
