NMA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 1995-96 RECIPIENTS

OAKLAND, CA: September 27, 1995 -- The National Meat Association Scholarship Foundation announced the names of the five students selected as recipients of $1,000 scholarship grants for the 1995-96 academic school year.

Scholarship winners selected this year are: Kyla J. Goodson, a senior majoring in animal science at Texas A&M University, as winner of the Frank DeBenedetti Scholarship Grant; Kenneth L. McShane, a senior majoring in animal science at Cal Poly State University, as winner of a NMA Scholarship Grant; Audra Dawn Grona, a junior majoring in animal science at Texas A&M University, as winner of a NMA Scholarship Grant; Marci Lyn Wilson, a senior majoring in animal science and industry at Kansas State University, as winner of a NMA Scholarship Grant; and Jennifer Lynn Dunn, a senior majoring in food science and industry at Kansas State University, as winner of a NMA Scholarship Grant.

The awards will be presented at NMA's Annual Meeting held during the association's 50th Annual Convention at the Sheraton Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California, February 15-18, 1996.

The NMA Scholarship Foundation is administered by the Directors of the NMA Scholarship Foundation. These $1,000 merit-based awards are presented annually to students studying Animal/Meat/Food Science or related Agriculture Engineering and considering a career in the meat industry.
