NMA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POSTPONES RETIREMENT

OAKLAND, CA – NMA President Joe Azzaro announced that NMA Executive Director Rosemary Mucklow had postponed her retirement. The announcement was made at the Annual Meeting during NMA’s MEATXPO’99 and 53rd Annual Convention.

"The meat industry is entering a difficult time," said NMA President Joe Azzaro, "and we are glad to have Rosemary on board to lead us. In fact, it was specifically asked by many members that she postpone her retirement." Mucklow had initially announced that she would retire in the year 2000, but that date has been put aside and she will continue as the National Meat Association’s Executive Director for at least two more years.

National Meat Association is a non-profit trade association representing meat packers and processors, as well as equipment manufacturers and suppliers who provide services to the meat industry. The association, with over 600 members throughout the United States, includes membership in Canada, Australia and Mexico.
